Biography of Paul A. Luscombe Author of Play the Game Right, Give Dad a Mulligan and Howard Powerless--The Rise & Fall of the Howard Savings Bank. "Play the Game Right" is the biography of Coach Butch van Breda Kolff from the arrival of "Wilt the Stilt" Chamberlain on Los Angeles Lakers to the Leopards finishing 19-10, winning the regular season East Coast Conference title, with a major upset of nationally ranked Notre Dame. "Give Dad a Mulligan" is a true story about how a husband and wife team playing in a mixed double tournament at Baltlusrol Golf Club argued over whether or not to award a Mulligan on the first hole. "Howard Powerless"--The Rise & Fall of the Howard Savings Bank, tells the story of the years leading up to the McCormick administration. The Howard was the envy of the other NJ banks as the ideal place to work. But this laid back manner plus some awkward attempts at transferring power may have set the bank up to be used by the abuse of power.

As an alumnus of Lafayette College Paul has written for The Lafayette Alumni News for over 42 years

Following graduation from Nutley High School NJ in 1956, Paul A Luscombe entered Lafayette College and eventually graduated with a BA in Philosophy in 1960. While at Lafayette, Paul was active in journalism and publications. He was managing editor of the school's student newspaper, which was published twice a week. He also was business manager of the yearbook. As an alumnus, Paul has written for The Lafayette Alumni News for over 49 years. He recently

received the school's William Hughes award in recognition for his writings on behalf of the Class of 1960.

After Lafayette, Luscombe received his MBA in Finance at the Wharton Graduate School (Univ. of Pennsylvania). At Wharton, he was the editor-in-chief of the Wharton Advocate, the student newspaper publication. Then Luscombe embarked on a 37 year career as a bond salesman on Wall Street. He held the title of Senior Vice President of Morgan Stanley & Co. when, in 1999, he retired from his 60th Floor Office in the original World Trade Center, NYC.

Paul and his wife Cinnie recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. They live in The Villages, FL and they have two daughters, Alison and Priscilla, and two lovely grand daughters.

Luscombe made his debut in the published literature area with his book entitled "Play the Game Right"--the Biography of Butch van Breda Kolff. Almost a year later, he published Give Dad a Mulligan!, a collection of short stories about golf and the use of Mulligans. His third accomplished work is entitled "Howard Powerless"--The Rise & Fall of the Howard Savings Bank, was first published in the summer of 2003. "Pills, Bills & Parkinson Disease," Luscombe's forth book was available in November 2005.

While the lates book "SCOOT" will be released shortly, Luscombe is working on his sixth book, "Addicts Anonymous."
